The place
Recently restored shepherd's chozo, set at the top of the Pamporquero pastures in the municipality of Brañosera, in the Montaña Palentina (province of Palencia). The stone building has a table in good condition and a fireplace, ideal for a stop and lunch before continuing the route. Wide views over the Brañosera valleys and the nearby peaks of Valdecebollas (1990 m) and Cueto de la Concilla. An unstaffed, free refuge on one of the routes of the Ruta de los Chozos, which crosses the former shepherd dwellings of the Montaña Palentina.
Getting there
From Brañosera, via the trails of the Ruta de los Chozos. Can be combined with the nearby Chozo Valdecebollas.
