The place
Small wild refuge located at around 1530 m in the Picos de Europa National Park (León side), historically managed by ICONA. Stone construction comprising five beds, a platform and a fireplace. Open and free, unstaffed: cleanliness depends on the users and occupancy is first-come, first-served. A useful stage for high-altitude routes in the Cabrales/Sajambre sector, on trails linking the park's classic routes.
