Continuous Central Otago cluster (batches 200-345). Historic musterer's hut (name "Chimney Creek" from the chimney creek, hut with ashy remains from the 1900s), an area of Chionochloa rigida schist tussock near the neighbouring Rock and Pillar Range, heritage of the Kāi Tahu (iwi of 60,000 in the South Island) and the Otago Rush 1861-64 (200,000 gold prospectors, 40% Chinese, Central Otago cluster of ghost towns St Bathans, Naseby, Ophir gold rush).
