The place
Italian refuge (CAI Milano) located at 2420 m at the Neves Pass (Nevesjoch), at the head of the Val Mühlwald (side valley of the Tauferstal/Ahrntal), in the Zillertal Alps (South Tyrol). Built in the 1880s by the Tures section of the DÖAV. After the First World War, entrusted to CAI Milano, which named it after Sergeant Giovanni Porro. ~60 beds. Season: early June to mid-October.
