Chaume des Wintergés

The place

Forest shelter to the east of the chaume at the pass between Tête du Chat Sauvage and Haut de Felsach. There is just a table, benches and a fire pit. Open on the east side. The refuge lies within the boundaries of the Grand Ventron Massif National Nature Reserve. As such, overnight camping is prohibited there. Article 20 of decree no. 89-331 of 22 May 1989: "Camping, whether under a tent, in a vehicle, or in any other shelter, is prohibited." This regulation also applies to the Wintergès, Blancs Murgers (Vosges side, dept. 88), Pionniers, and Bockloch (dept. 68) chalets.
