Chalet du Collet de l 'Etang

The place

Unstaffed refuge at 1098 m at the Collet de l'Étang in the Hautes-Vosges (municipality of La Bresse). Very clean, 3 large tables, a working fireplace and grills for cooking. At the crossroads of several trails, so frequently visited. Water source 500 m away. Access from La Bresse in about 1 hour on foot. Routes toward the Chaume des Champis (view of the Hohneck ridge) and the Étang de la Cuve, a small lake just below.
