Chalet des Roches Eboulées
The place
Hut at 1355 m in a combe below the Chasseron (Vaud Jura, Switzerland). In good condition as it serves as a shepherd's shelter in summer. Access by crossing the summit of the Chasseron, path towards the rockslide, following alongside the wooden fence, then descending into the combe to the hut. Two rooms with a stove in very good condition, axe and wood, wooden benches and tables inside and out. Nice, well-insulated hut, big enough for 6 to 8 people. No toilets or running water.
Getting there
Depuis le sommet du Chasseron, un sentier longe une clôture en bois en direction du lieu-dit « la Roche Éboulée », puis descend dans une combe parsemée de blocs rocheux jusqu'au chalet.
The setting
Le chalet est niché dans une combe du massif du Jura, au pied du Chasseron, entourée de nombreux rochers et blocs éboulés qui lui donnent son nom ; une forêt borde le site à moins de 100 m.
