Chalet des Ministres
The place
Refuge at 1223 m in the Jura massif. The name comes from local dialect where "ministres" refers to donkeys or mules, once used to carry goods in the area. Located at a trail junction, the site includes two main structures: a cabin to the northwest, owned by the municipality of Bellefontaine, in good condition and rentable for mountain stays by contacting the town hall at 03 84 33 08 61; and a cabin to the southeast, open and unguarded, free accommodation. The latter has solid walls, a roof in good condition, four windows, and a circular bench running around three of its walls; the stove is no longer functional. Capacity 4 people. No drinking water on site: bring your own supply.
