The place
Unstaffed hut set at 696 m in the Hautes-Vosges, about 5 km and a 10-minute drive south of Remiremont (Vosges, Grand Est). A notable location as a hiking starting point between the Bois du Sapenois and Bois du Corroy forests. On the route of the GR®5F — a variant of the famous GR 5 that crosses the Vosges from north to south, linking routes toward the Jura and the Alps. A basic freely accessible building, a rustic stop for hikers doing loop hikes in the Vosges forests. A forest setting typical of the massif's southern foothills: beech-fir stands, hedgerow meadows, landscapes typical of the Vosges mid-mountains. Iconic wildlife: roe deer, wild boar, red squirrel, tawny owl, black woodpecker, red kite. Located on the edge of the Ballons des Vosges Regional Nature Park and the Vosges ridge trail.

5 km / 10 min south of Remiremont (Vosges). A stop on the GR®5F (GR 5 variant). Between Bois du Sapenois and Bois du Corroy.
