The place

Unstaffed hut at 1617 m in Vanoise (Savoie), able to host 6 people. Water from a trough 5 m away, fireplace, grill to place over embers, large table, broom, mezzanine, 2 blankets. Access from the La Charmette hamlet car park before Valmorel via a wide, well-maintained forest track passing through Plan Parc (3/4 h), or from the Valmorel resort via a path under a chairlift (3/4 h). In winter, ski descent possible from the top of the Gollet chairlift (1/4 h if the snow isn't too deep, not recommended for beginners).
