Chalet de Sorgia d 'en Bas
The place
Chalet at 1240 m in the Haute Chaîne du Jura national nature reserve (Ain). Imposing but charmless building: only a third is occupied by the refuge, the rest serves as a barn. 10 sleeping places with a few worn blankets, working stove (large room hard to heat), a table, two benches, a coffee table, two armchairs. Dogs forbidden, even on a leash, due to the nature reserve. The Charmante road (climbing from Menthières) is closed to traffic from the first snowfall (by 15 December at the latest) until 31 May. Getting there
Départ du hameau de Lancrans, en passant par les lieux-dits Gratteloup, Rafour puis Métral, avec un stationnement possible vers 759 m. La suite du trajet emprunte le GR de pays « Tour de la Valserine ».

Le site se trouve en lisière de forêt, dans le périmètre de la Réserve naturelle nationale de la Haute Chaîne du Jura, commune de Lancrans (Ain).
