The place

Sleeping places planned: 10 Places on mattress: 11 valid as of 10/22/2023: - The door is on the North side of the building - heating method: wood-burning stove/cooker - a table, 2 benches, 4 chairs - dishes, glasses, cutlery, saucepans, frying pans, a tea kettle and a large pot - in 2014 a saw and an axe (which doesn't chop much anymore) - in 2014 there was neon lighting powered by a car battery (didn't check in 2023, not sure?) - Water at the [->4524] The roof appears to have been redone around 2016 and provides good insulation on the upper floor, where you'll find 11 mattresses, 6 bed bases and a few blankets. To get there, head to Pussy leaving the N90 at Feissons/Isère, go through Necuday and park at Les Foyères (no real parking, but you can find space along the roadside). Or you can venture beyond the end of the paved road (track in poor condition in 2023, better to have a raised vehicle or 4x4) and you can park at the 2nd hairpin bend of the track (1190m). additional notes (Artos, 22.02.2008): In winter and with snow The pastoral road is closed above Necuday (chain across the road + Mayor's Order posted) about 500 m from the village, and parking is difficult... best to leave the cars in the hamlet. Depending on the means used (climbing skins or snowshoes), it may be worth using the route that passes by the Chalet de la Montagne d'en Haut: the slope guarding the Col de l'Arc on the Pussy side (via Les Charmettes) is otherwise inaccessible, or at least tough going with a lot of snow, especially the last 100 m of elevation gain (especially with snowshoes, skiers will fare better). You should double the ascent time (1000m of elevation gain between Necuday and the hut, "roller coaster" terrain included). Option 1: After Les Foyères, take the track then the path that climbs via the grande Thuile (marked "la tuile" on the IGN map) and winds through the forest to a fork marked "montagne d'en haut ou montagne d'en bas" Option 2: After Les Foyères, take the path or forest road to Les Charmettes, then leave this new forest road for a path that climbs and then crosses the forest road again before following the power line. Follow it north along the path that passes underneath. The chalet is located beneath the power line, so you'll eventually come across it. Commune of Pussy..???
