The place

Chalet at 1130 m in the Bauges massif (Haute-Savoie), accessed from Allèves via the chemin de la Figlia towards the Tours Saint-Jacques and the Chalets de Gruffy. Remarkable access path: limestone slabs laid by Italian workers over a century ago, originally used to bring hay down on sleds designed for the purpose. Several wooden barns with typical architecture along the path. Water further down around 960 m, or along the path.
