Chalet de l 'Impératrice

The place

The chalet is in very good condition. You'll find: A stove, poker and an ash shovel. A chest with kindling and paper. A large quantity of cut wood. A large table. A small table. Two benches. Five chairs. Bowls. Glasses. Cups. A log saw. Two brooms. Two large mirrors for extra light. From Remiremont, take the D23 toward Val d'Ajol then the D57 toward the Chalet de la Beuille (Amis de la Nature refuge). After the Étang des Maux Cailloux, continue a little further (about 1.5 km) and at a hairpin bend, take the forest track on the right. The Chalet de l'Impératrice is about 500 metres further on. Also possible from Maxonchamps, head to the Tête du Hanot, from there a track in poor condition leads to the chalet (many fallen trees across it).
