The place

Sleeping places: 10 Places on mattresses: 10 Two-level masonry cabin, single-pitch roof. Very clean and very pleasant. Extension/restoration work has been ongoing since 2009. - Working stove, axe, saw and deadwood nearby. - tables inside and outside, benches, dishes and pots. - 10 wide sleeping spots on mattresses, 4 downstairs and 6 upstairs. Wool blankets available in bins. - dry toilets in good condition - intermittent spring below the shelter, about a hundred meters away. (When it is dry, another spring flows next to the Cabane du Chasseur further up along the GR toward the Col de la Madeleine). Note that the upper door locks from the inside, so you must go in via the lower entrance to get into the chalet. The lower door is unlocked but is sometimes a bit hard to open.
