Refuge de la Louze: A Mountain Refuge Worth Discovering The Refuge de la Louze, set high up in an unspoiled environment, is not to be missed by nature and mountain-hiking enthusiasts. Location and Access Location: Near the Col de la Louze, at an elevation of 2,119 metres. Access: A waymarked trail starting from the Col de la Louze, passing by the Lacs de la Tempête and leading to the cabin. About 500 metres northwest of the Lac Vert. Alternative Route: From the village of Bénétant (Tarentaise side), a 4x4 track runs for 1 km, then a steep path on the right (with safety cables) climbs 600 metres of elevation gain up to the refuge. The commune of Cevins is responsible for access to the cabin. Practical Information Opening Period: The cabin is generally open in summer pasture season, but it's advisable to check availability the rest of the year. Booking: No booking required for now. Setting and Views The refuge's location offers exceptional panoramas over the surrounding mountains and alpine lakes. The cabin blends harmoniously into this unspoiled natural setting. Rates and Funding Cost: Free during summer pasture season; payment arrangements for the rest of the year are to be confirmed. Funding: Managed by the commune of Cevins.
