Chalet de Branveau

The place

Alpine chalet at 1331 m in the Réserve naturelle nationale de la Haute Chaîne du Jura (Ain). The public space is completely closed and inaccessible — impossible to shelter there even in a storm. Owned by the commune of Échenevex, which rents the chalet and the pasture to a herder who is not present permanently. Areas reserved for wildlife in winter, dogs forbidden even on a leash.
