Open shelter with no bedding on the shore of the Lac de Blanchemer, at 980 metres in the Hautes-Vosges. Working fireplace, large table, decent insulation; modern solar-powered dry toilets nearby. Water accessible less than a hundred metres away, forest close by, no stove. Firewood availability variable, toilets occasionally closed due to vandalism. Very popular day-trip destination.
