The place

Holiday village at 1,309 m in the Basque Country, tucked into the largest beech forest in Europe. Thirty-five rental chalets (including one wheelchair-accessible), a natural campsite, hotel rooms, a GR10 hiking refuge (twenty-six beds across two units) and a motorhome area. Minimum two-night booking on weekends, three nights on weekdays, no Sunday arrivals. Activities year-round: hiking, electric scooters, mountain biking, snowshoeing, a birdwatching programme. Iraty spans four valleys on either side of the French-Spanish border: Soule, Cize, Aezkoa and Salazar.
