Ces Clark Hut

The place

Serviced-category DOC hut with sixteen bunks located at 897 m in the southern Paparoa National Park, on the Paparoa Range (West Coast, Greymouth area). Facilities: heating, dry-pit toilets with toilet paper supplied, cold running water, gas cooking, indoor sinks, mattresses on the bunks. Bring a sleeping bag and cooking gear. Rates per person per night: 50 NZD NZ adult (year-round), 76 NZD international adult in high season (Oct-Apr) or 50 NZD in low season (May-Sep), 25 NZD NZ child 5-17, 38 NZD international child 0-17 in high season (25 NZD in low season), free up to age 4. Booking required online via bookings.doc.govt.nz. Backcountry Hut Passes are accepted, with a refund procedure. Access: 4 to 5 hours' walk or 2 to 3 hours by mountain bike from the Smoke-ho car park (10.3 km); to Moonlight Tops Hut, 3 hours on foot or 1.5 to 2.5 hours by mountain bike (9.7 km).
