The place
Wilderness casera at 1231 m in the municipality of Gemona del Friuli (Udine, Friuli-Venezia Giulia), close to the Plan di Scriç and the "Buse dai Clapons" cave. A typical stop on the network of caseras and bivouacs of the Julian Prealps (~25 km NW of Udine, ~90 km from Trieste). A traditional alpine building preserved as a permanent open shelter, in the tradition of alpine dairies. Listed by CAI FVG and the camminateinfriuli community. A good base for loops in the Gemona / Plan di Scriç area.
