The place
Former cheese-making hut converted into a free-standing bivouac, perched at 1709 m in the municipality of Longarone in the Bellunese Dolomites (Veneto). Located in the Col dei Gài and Cime de la Scala area, on the great northern slope of the Schiara massif. A stopover near the Rifugio Furio Bianchet (1¼ km to the south) on the Alta Via no. 1 of the Bellunese Dolomites. An open refuge belonging to the network of bivacchi of the Bellunese Dolomites National Park, ideal for the Pramperet-Bianchet traverses and approaches to the Schiara massif.
Getting there
A stage on the Alta Via no. 1 of the Bellunese Dolomites, between Rifugio Pramperet and Rifugio Furio Bianchet (1¼ km to the south).
