The place
Casera di Focobon in the Dolomites, Val di Fiemme/Lagorai area (Trentino, Italy), at 1894 m elevation, in the northern chain of the Lagorai. Part of the continuous Lagorai cluster (batches 193-251). A traditional casera used for summer pasture, in the Paneveggio-Pale di San Martino nature park (the forest that supplied wood for Stradivarius violins). Area of red porphyry rock, larch and subalpine grassland. On the Translagorai, a highly popular high-route trail.
