Fully renovated casera set up as a bivouac at 1731 m, on a solitary sloping meadow on the eastern slopes of Monte Rancolin (Carnic Alps, Veneto / Friuli-Venezia Giulia, from Forni di Sotto). Always open, over two levels: on the ground floor, a table, benches, a cooking area with gas stoves and a wood stove; upstairs, numerous stacked bunks with mattresses and blankets. Reached from Forni di Sotto via trail CAI 212. Right next to the Forcella Rancolin and the spectacular 'Campanili di Costa Baton', characteristic colourful rock towers of the area. A stopover on the Anello della Casera Costa Baton loop.
