The place

A former malga converted into a bivouac, located at 1763 m at the foot of the Alpi Feltrine in the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park, in the commune of Gosaldo. The stone complex comprises two restored buildings: one serves as a bivouac for hikers with a large common room, a separate kitchen area and about ten sleeping spots upstairs, the other is used by the park rangers for surveillance of the area. Powered by solar panels, open all year. Inaugurated on 24 August 2003. A stop on the Alta Via dei Parchi and on the traverses toward Erera-Brendol, reachable from Pattine di Gosaldo via trail 802 in about 3 h 30.
