Cascina Corna Blacca Alta

Brescia · Italie0 mUnguardedVerified listing

The place

A former summer-pasture cascina perched on the slopes of the Corna Blacca, an emblematic peak of the Brescia Prealps reaching 2006 m between Val Trompia and Val Sabbia. The structure bears witness to the pastoral past of the area and to the role of the Corna Blacca during the Italian Resistance, marked by a marble monument raised in tribute to the partisans of the Ermanno Margheriti Fiamme Verdi Brigade. Today, it is a mountain shelter (ricovero) useful for hikers on the ridge routes from the Passo del Maniva or Collio via the Pezzeda, connecting with the nearby Capanna Tita Secchi. A grassy setting with views over the Brescia Prealps range.
