Casa Val di Mazza in the Umbrian-Marche Apennines, Fabriano/Sassoferrato area (province of Ancona, Marche, Italy), at 951 m elevation, on the foothills of the San Vicino/Catria massif. Part of the continuous Marche cluster (batches 244+251+257). A traditional rural farmhouse (casale) of the Marche converted into a refuge, in an area of Apennine beech and calcareous grassland. Home to the heritage of the Sentiero Italia trail and the traditional production of Verdicchio (a Marche DOP white wine).
