The place
Shelter house at 1307 m in the Montado do Pereiro, near the north gate of the Montado, parish of Camacha, municipality of Santa Cruz (Poiso forest area, Madeira). Access via regional road 103, which links Monte to Poiso and serves the north gate of the Montado. Nearby leisure facilities: barbecue, picnic areas, football pitch, walking trails, mountain-biking routes. No drinking water on site — only spring water suitable for sanitary use is available. Bring a butane gas bottle (Galp brand) for the stove. Electricity is available, to be used responsibly. Bookings and information via the Simplifica portal.
