The place
Unstaffed refuge at 1,996 m on the left side of the upper Val Vergeletto, in the Valle Onsernone (Ticino). Twelve sleeping places, equipped kitchen (wood and gas hobs, dishes, utensils). Alpine setting dominated by blueberry bushes, gneiss slabs and high pastures. A stop on the Via Alta Vallemaggia.

Getting there
Access from Vergeletto-Zott (public transport stop), then a white-red T3 trail from the hamlet of Pièi that climbs steeply.
