The place
Staffed capanna at 1907 m in the upper Bosco Gurin valley (Ticino, Switzerland), above the Walser village and at the heart of the ski area, next to the Grossalp alp buildings. Two-story wooden building on a stone base, inaugurated in 1970, extended in 1998. Dining room with 30 seats and an indoor fireplace, plus 50 seats on the outdoor terrace; 12 beds in rooms. Staffed almost year-round in the Bosco/Gurin ski area, reachable in 10 minutes from the chairlift's mid-station. Magnificent view of the Walser village of Bosco Gurin (the only German-speaking Walser village in Ticino).
