Capanna dei Porci ("Pig Cabin") in the Umbria-Marche Apennines, Fabriano/Cesi/Gubbio area (province of Ancona, Marche, Italy), at 1295 m elevation, foothills of the Monte Catria massif (1701 m). Intra-batch 244 Marche Apennines cluster (see Bivacco Fonte Luca ~5 km away). Former shelter for semi-wild pig herders (historical use no longer active) in the beech forest. On the routes of the Gola della Rossa e Frasassi regional nature park (Frasassi caves, 1971).
