Capanna Cornavosa
The place
Alpine hut located on the Alpe di Cornavosa in the Val Pincascia, in the municipality of Verzasca in Ticino. Inaugurated in 2010 after the restoration of the abandoned alpine pasture. The complex includes a main building with a wood- and gas-fired kitchen, a 40-seat dining room and a 12-bed dormitory, along with six outbuildings including a second 12-bed dormitory, sanitary facilities, a bread oven and a small museum. A stage on the Via Alta della Verzasca and a starting point for routes to the peaks and pastures of the upper Lavertezzo valleys. Classic access from Lavertezzo via a path running alongside the stream and its small waterfalls.
Getting there
From Lavertezzo (Val Verzasca), climb into the Val Pincascia along the stream.
