Capanna Campo Tencia
The place
A staffed hut of the Swiss Alpine Club set on the terrace of Poggio del Giübin in Val Piumogna, at the foot of the Pizzo Campo Tencia in the Ticino Alps. The first large stone hut built in Switzerland, inaugurated in 1912 and rebuilt in 1977 after the 1975 fire. A three-storey building offering rooms of 4 to 15 beds and a dining room. Serves as a base for routes up the Pizzo Campo Tencia and for hut-to-hut traverses on the southern side of the Lepontine Alps. Access from Dalpe in the Leventina valley in 2 h 30 to 3 h, or from Lake Tremorgio via the Rodi cable car in 3 h 30.

From Dalpe (Leventina) in 2 h 30 to 3 h. Alternative from Lake Tremorgio via the Rodi cable car, then a 3 h 30 walk.
