The place
Staffed CAS refuge at 1870 m altitude in the Val di Campo, municipality of Blenio (Ticino, Lepontine Alps, Switzerland). Inaugurated in 1971, fully renovated in 1998. 48 beds across 4 rooms (3 with 8 beds + 1 with 18). When the warden is absent: equipped kitchen (wood and gas), utensils, sanitary facilities, running water, wood heating. Access point towards Cima Bianca, Scopi, Pizzo di Cadreigh.
Getting there
From Campo Blenio, trail towards the Pizzo di Cadreigh, also accessible by ski touring.

A bit of history
Ce refuge a été construit en 1971, avec ouverture le 19 septembre et inauguration officielle le 10 octobre de la même année. En 1998, le bâtiment d'origine a été presque entièrement démoli, seule une partie des fondations étant conservée, et reconstruit selon de nouveaux plans pour un investissement important.
A word from the warden
Ce refuge est géré et gardé par une section d'un club de randonnée tessinois, ouvert de mi-juin à fin octobre.
