The place
Wilderness cabin at 2252 m in the municipality of Laax (Surselva, Grisons), in the Sur Crap sector, near the Crap Ner and the Bündnerbergjoch. Restricted access requiring a permit. Managed by the Uniun Camona Vorab. The Vorab summit (Glarner Vorab, 3018 m), 4 km to the northwest, is a classic hochtouren (mixed climbing route) listed on the SAC portal. The sector is also linked to the Flims-Laax bike area (the "Camona Vorab Spring Connection" trail). Not to be confused with the Vorab-Hütte SAC.
