The place
Cabanes Sacaze, a group of pastoral huts in the upper Aspe valley (Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Béarn), at 920 m altitude, in the Bedous/Osse-en-Aspe area. Traditional stone huts used by shepherds during the summer grazing season for watching over the flock and making Ossau-Iraty cheese. Open to hikers outside the pastoral season.
