Cabanes du Talon

The place

Pastoral huts at 1900 m in the core zone of the Mercantour National Park (Alpes-Maritimes). Lower floor closed to the public — only a small room at the top of the stone hut is accessible, from outside. The former Talon forest lodge now offers only an attic with no mattresses, the rest being closed. Small spring, a bit hard to find, below the hut (which is in any case right next to the stream).
