The place

Cabins at 2112 m in the Mercantour-Argentera massif (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence). Sometimes occupied by shepherds who have recently left. Several possible approaches: from Villars-Heyssier via the Saint-Pierre gorges up to the Congerman cabin, then towards the Col de l'Orgeas and the Grand Coyer or the Petit Coyer (4 to 6 h depending on snow cover); or from Ondre towards the Col de l'Orgeas then the Grand Coyer (4 h).
