Cabanes de Vetta di Muro

The place

Sleeping places planned: 6 Former "village" of the spa-goers who once came to the Vetta di Muro spring (= Betta di Muru), which lies about a hundred meters to the NNE. At least 6 huts in good condition, with low dry-stone vaulted roofs, not very watertight, spread over several levels. Some are hard to make out among the rocks and bushes. One has an outdoor spot for a fire. Access on foot only, following lines of cairns through scree gullies choked with alders: descend north from the Col de Bocca Meria (= Bocca Madia) pass, or west from an unnamed pass immediately north of the Cima a i Mori.
