The place

Former pastoral hut in the Mercantour, located at 2049 metres, in the Vallon de Joyeux east of the Crête de Chabaud, accessible from the Vallée de Chasse above Villars-Colmars. The hut is now privatised and reserved for participants in "Retrouvance"-type stays organised by the ONF; it is no longer accessible to independent hikers.
