Cabane Pastorale de Viraysse: An Authentic Refuge in the Wild The Cabane Pastorale de Viraysse, a haven of peace nestled in the mountains, offers two sleeping places and two mat places. Occupied in season by a shepherd from June to early October, this rustic hut consists of two separate rooms. The first room serves both as storage for the shepherd's equipment and as a kitchen, equipped with a table, chairs and a stove. The second room, raised and paneled, is dedicated to rest, with two metal beds and mattresses. The hut is ideally located on the GRP trail Frontière fortifiée / Tour de l'Oronaye / Tour du Chambeyron, in the upper Viraysse valley, 600 m WNW of the Cabane inférieure de Viraysse.
