The place

CAS cabin (Diablerets section) at 2,582 m below the Grand Muveran, in the Vaud Alps (Valais). 49 places in total: 5 dormitories with 38 places and a 6-place winter room. Staffed continuously in July-August and early September; weekends only in May, June, late September, October and November. Access on foot, ski or snowshoe from Pont-de-Nant (5 h), Ovronnaz via Saille (4 h) or Derborence (6 h). A stage on the Tour des Muverans.
