Cabane perchée de Pré Bouclier

The place

Original cabin built up in a large beech tree in the middle of the Pré Bouclier clearing, at 1,350 m in the Bauges massif (commune between Saint-François-de-Sales and Arith, Savoie). Near the former Refuge de La Plate. Access via a natural ladder fitted with a hemp-rope handrail — a tricky and somewhat dangerous climb. Small space of about 4 m² with a large picture window for observing wildlife, a bench and some storage. Possible to sleep on the floor. An unusual spot for fans of tree-house style lodging.
