The place
Pastoral cabin belonging to the Asnière grazing association, located at 1732 m altitude in the Dévoluy massif (Hautes-Alpes). Occupied by the shepherd from mid-June until the first snowfall, reserved exclusively for shepherds during the summer grazing season (no access for hikers, hunters or cavers). The lower section is accessible in winter. An adjoining karst cavity (Chourum) accessible as a winter emergency shelter.
