Cabane Pastorale de l'Encombrette: A Rustic Mountain Refuge The Cabane Pastorale de l'Encombrette is a rustic refuge at an altitude of 2315 metres. It is mainly intended for shepherds during the summer pasture season, from mid-June to mid-September. Capacity Capacity: 6 sleeping places planned. Equipment available: 1 large thick mattress for 2 people, 2 small foam mattresses for 1 person, as well as a ground mat. Useful Information Updated: February 2021. Current condition: In February 2021, the large mattress for 2 people is in average condition, the small mattresses and the ground mat are available. In March 2022, the wood stove is faulty, the mattresses are damaged by mould and ravaged by moths and rats, and the blankets are badly worn. Access: From Clignon-haut (Colmars to Allos road), possible to park before the village. The trail is well marked, but be careful at the pas de l'Échelle passage, which is quite exposed.
