Cabane ouest de la Peyrouse (Pas Etoupe)

The place

Hut at 1720 m in the Hauts Plateaux du Vercors nature reserve, near the Pas de l'Étoupe (1828 m). Locked with a good-quality recent lock, fitted with solar panels and a rainwater harvesting system; not accessible to hikers as it is reserved for shepherds. Dogs even on a leash, fires and camping are forbidden; bivouacking allowed (tent pitched after 5 pm and taken down before 9 am).
