The place

Sleeping places planned: 2 Places on mattresses: 2 Located deep in the woods and fairly low, this chalet can at best serve as a fallback or backup point in case of a late start or return, getting lost, fatigue, etc... -adequate insulation -2 tables, 4 benches -in 2009, a shovel, a broom, no cutting tools -stove untested -a sleeping loft with a skylight, sleeping on the floor besides the two mattresses -limited view over the bottom of the valley -no water at all, except by fetching it in passing from the Nant de la Tuile (careful: livestock upstream, treat it!), or melting snow. From the Champeney shelter, simply follow the forest track towards Le Baché (eastward) and take the first path going down on the left, once past the Nant de la Tuile. O.N.F.
