Cabane forestière de la Combe des Filles

The place

Forestry cabin at 1460 m in the Beaufortain massif (Savoie). Seven mattresses available since 2017. Three access routes: from the bottom of the valley (1000 m elevation gain), via a forest road closed by a chain (1.5 km on foot at the end), or from the Fort du Mont along a small trail hugging the ramparts then a marked trail through the hamlet of Le Mont. In winter, the road is not cleared of snow from the fort onward, adding 300 m of elevation gain and 1 hour.
