Cabane forestière de Font Bessou

The place

Unstaffed forestry cabin at 1,300 m (entrance sign) in the commune of Château-Bernard, in the Vercors massif (Isère), managed by ONF Château-Bernard. Access from the Col de l'Arzelier to the Rousse car park, then the Arzelier forest track; at the "Font Bessou - 1253 m" junction, take a newly marked trail on the right then an old road leading to the cabin. Empty inside except for a picnic table with two attached benches. Two windows with shutters, easy to open but no glass, no stove or equipment. Broken door latch noted in June 2024.
