Cabane Estany Xic

The place

Shelter at 2040 m on the left bank of the Estany Xic, at the foot of the Col de Tavascan/Marterat on the Spanish side (Vall d'Àneu, Catalonia). A corner of a wall has collapsed and brought down part of the roof; used for storage by the local shepherd. Makeshift shelter usable in case of a storm. No equipment, just a floor. Water at the lake, and a captured spring further up on the Spanish side.
